Recovery and Development Grants 2021/22

Recovery and Development Grants 2021/22

Following on from our enhanced 2020/2021 grant scheme and the continuing impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on the museum sector, Museum Development North East are repeating our enhanced 'Recovery and Development' Grant Scheme in 2021/2.

Funded by Arts Council England (ACE) and the Art Fund, the scheme is offering grants from £500 to £10,000 (with a total available grant pot of £90,000).  It will support both museum recovery beyond Covid with a key emphasis on inclusion/relevance  and future development/sustainability planning and aims to help museums remain a key part of the life of all communities in the region.

About the Grants

Two levels of funding are available:

Grants of £5000 - £10,000 (supported by ACE and the Art Fund) require 10% match funding (cash or in kind) and are open to all non NPO museums (including non-lead members of NPO consortia), but not to museums who have been in receipt of ACE, NLHF or Historic England Coronavirus emergency funding, including Culture Recovery Recovery Fund Rounds 1-3.

Grants from £500 to £5000 (supported by ACE) do not require match funding and are open to all non NPO Accredited/Working Towards Accreditation Museums (including non-lead members of NPO consortia).
