Impact Report 2015-18

About

This Impact Report provides an overview of the range of support delivered by the North East Museum Development Programme between August 2012 and March 2015, contributing to the development of over 50 museums in the region. Highlights of the programme included:

  • the Make Carbon History campaign – which enabled participating museums to reduce their carbon footprint by 18% and operating costs by over £56,000;
  • the Conservation Advisory Network - a free conservation service that raised standards of collections care across the North East;
  • the Retail Development Programme – which assisted museums to improve their retail offer and systems for measuring performance;
  • training & support that focussed on improving engagement with children and young people.
